Greyland Youth Baseball is a program directed by Mark Anthony Howard or #coachGritz for #GreylandYouthOrganization.
The program gives underprivileged youth the opportunity to participate and acquire the quality skill and instruction normally only afforded to privileged families. By evening the “paying field” GYB enables lower income children the many educational, occupational, and quality of life opportunities the unique sport has to offer. #loveNbaseball
If you or a child would like to participate, volunteer, donate or be a sponsor in this program please email #coachGritz @ a_TYRANTSwill@yahoo.com
The program begins in Feb. but preregistration is encouraged and welcome. Rosters are forming for pony league divisions: pinto/6-8u, mustang/8-10u, and colt/14-16u
Donations: monetary donations are especially needed to fund insurance, league, field rentals, umpire and registration fees.
Also needed are (new or used) balls, gloves, bats, youth size cleats, WhiteSox hats, non perishable snacks and any other baseball gear would be appreciated.
In 37 degrees this elderly homeless woman calls Waterman Ave her bedroom for tonight.
The difference in the world is always made by those who care enough to change it.
At Greyland Youth Organization, we believe we are that difference. Our care and our concern for those that are truly in need is the fire that will catch ablaze in our community.
Lets continue to be that difference. Lets continue to care.
November 22nd is Greyland Youth Organization’s 3rd homeless awareness event.
Every day, of every year, over 14,000 men, women, and children in Riverside and San Bernardino counties call home to streets, side walks, parks, alleys, fields, benches, cars, encampments, garages, warehouses, and many other desperate shelter not intended for inhabitants.
Although we cannot immediately solve the issue and we cannot help all 14,000 cases, we can show our concern and we can do what we can to help a good few.
Greyland’s first field trip “Pizza & a Ballgame” was a success! The kidz had loads of fun on full tummies @ San Manuel’s 66er stadium in san Bernardino. For some of our grey babiez it was their first experience @ a professional Ballgame.
What a fitting reward for the young literary champs.
Hope to see you and your kid next year. Our Baseball Programs starts in January and the Reading Program kicks off again next May 2015. Keep Reading!
